Robertson Baxter

Financial advice, transformed

Helen Morgan

Biography

Helen comes from a farming family in Sheffield, but realising that there might be further opportunity in other sectors, she studied Financial Services at Sheffield Hallam University. After obtaining a first-class honours degree, and having completed her work placement year in the industry, Helen was determined to pursue a financial services career. She duly secured her first job at Burley Financial Services, where she had so impressed during her placement.

Although the downturn resulted in Helen being made redundant, she was undeterred, and set out to look for the next step in her career progression. When the opportunity to join Robertson Baxter arose in 2009, she took it with great enthusiasm, relishing the chance to work with such driven and motivated directors.

It’s Helen’s responsibility to manage client paperwork from start to finish, processing all the necessary documentation and handling all day-to-day enquiries from clients.

Helen’s really found her niche at Robertson Baxter, and enjoys working as part of a highly-skilled team in which there are so many opportunities to learn and develop; she’s currently studying for her Diploma in Financial Planning, for instance. Best of all, she knows she’s making a real contribution and that she’s valued by clients and colleagues alike.

Helen’s equally committed to her spare time endeavours: she makes an eye-watering 2.30am start on a Saturday morning to help out on the dairy farm, and loves spending time with her dog, Sonny. And as a former World Junior ranked tennis player (achieved when she was just 14), Helen also likes the odd game of tennis too – if she can find a good enough opponent!
